A Cleaning Schedule for the Busy Mom

Spread the love

Hey, everyone! Today I am going to be sharing with all of you working moms how to keep your home clean and put together. I know that with a chaotic schedule it can be hard to manage our homes, and stick to a routine. I have finally found a way to do that. However, I have found that the trick is that you don’t want to put too much on your to do list, otherwise you will find yourself overwhelmed, and possibly having a meltdown. To be honest I may have had one or two. So that is why I wanted to share this with you, because I know as a Christian mom specifically we want to put our family and home life first, so let’s get into it!

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Every Morning

  • Empty the dishwasher
  • Wash a load of laundry
  • Make Bed

In the Evening

  • Run the dishwasher
  • Fold a load of clothes
  • Do daily cleaning duty
  • Get everything ready for the next day

Ex. Pick out outfits for the next day yours, and children’s, make sure kids have a bath, Make sure backpacks are already packed with whatever is necessary for the next day. Tidy up kitchen and living room, or bedroom, if needed.

Daily Duties

  1. Mondays – Bathrooms
  2. Tuesdays – Mop room that can be mopped
  3. Wednesdays – Vacuum
  4. Thursdays – Dust everything
  5. Fridays – Monthly Duties

Monthly Cleaning Duties

  • Clean out and organize closets
  • Clean Out the Fridge
  • Clean the Microwave
  • Clean Cabinets, Walls or Doors
  • Clean Out Pantry

Only Choose one to two every Friday. You don’t want to get overwhelmed with too many tasks.

I hope these suggestions will help you out, and it may take a week or two to get this schedule going smoothly until it turns into a routine, so try not to get discouraged if you are a little behind on the first two weeks. I promise it get’s easier! Just keep your head up Mamma! I promise you have got this! If any other working moms have any more suggestions feel free to share and leave a comment below. And of course for more posts like this, subscribe to my blog! I hope you all have a blessed weekend!

  1. I need schedules and checklists for everything! Definitely going to give these a shot because I need to step up my game when it comes to keeping my house consistently clean 😛

  2. These are really good tips. I have a super hectic schedule and it seems that the kids just undo everything I do. I really like this schedule. I might use something like this and have it posted at home.
